In 2011, our friend Toby Willis started Independence Guide Dogs, an organization that serves to increase independence for blind individuals by placing guide dogs free of charge. When this small batch of Baltic Porter was released, it was around the same time of International Guide Dog Day and Toby’s annual fundraiser, so we decided to name it in honor of Toby's own guide dog, Zakai. Zakai Baltic Pawter is rich and malty with hints of dark fruits, molasses and chocolate and a warming alcohol presence. Full bodied, it starts slightly sweet with a crisp clean finish.
