O-69 IPA takes it’s name from the infamous call out at Gay Bingo, a tradition that started in Seattle as a way to raise funds for Chicken Soup Brigade (now Lifelong), a non profit supporting people living with HIV/AIDS. Since then you can find Gay Bingo being played all over the world.
