Oh boy what a treat it was to have Andy Roy of Roy Farms come by with an experimental variety for us to play with! Andy brought us a new American noble variety, ADHA-1940 to showcase in a straightforward Northwest style lager. We bittered with it, we threw a bunch in the whirlpool and we threw a bunch more in the dry hop so we could see what this hop has to offer. The end result is an easy drinking hoppy lager that expresses flavors and aromas of lemongrass, orange blossom and a sprinkling of white grape (but just a sprinkle).
